Take a walk along rugged coastline and soak up the pristine remoteness.Croajingolong National Park covers 87,500 hectares and extends for 100 km along the wilderness coast of Victoria's East Gippsland. It protects remote beaches, tall forests, heathland, rainforest, estuaries and granite peaks. Gipsy Point is a haven for the local wildlife. There are over 280 species of birds in the area. Look for the white-bellied sea eagles by the coast, or lyrebirds and azure kingfishers as you stroll around Lyrebird Walk.Keep an eye out for goannas and colourful Gippsland water dragons, which grow up to 1m long. Wander down to Bastion Point to spot whales and dolphins.
