Visit - City Palace, a part is now a museum that contains fine Rajput and Moghul paintings, rare manuscripts and an armoury, old carpets, and even amazingly embroidered clothes of the Maharajas and the Maharanis.
In the evening you will engage in a cooking demonstration and interact with a local Noble family followed by dinner.

Akbar and it shared the Imperial duties with the more secure Agra only about 42 Kms away. The reasons for abandoning it and settling for Lahore seem obscure, but it could have been due to a severe shortage of water or due to the need of the Emperor to be closer to the action
